How to get here

These driving directions take you to our store - Canal Gallery - in Merrickville. If you want to use your GPS, dial in 230 St Lawrence Street, Merrickville. Or, print this page.
From Ottawa: take Highway 416 south to Highway 43 at Kemptville. (DO NOT TAKE EXIT 43!) Leave 416, and head west on 43. Go straight through Kemptville, past the strip malls, through the lights, and go 20 kms or 12 miles to Merrickville. When you come into Merrickville, you'll stop at a Stop sign at the centre of town. Turn left here, and go two blocks down. Our store is in the second block on your right. 230 St Lawrence, the Larkspur Lane mini-mall. Driving time: 50 minutes from Bayshore.
From Smiths Falls: go east on 43 to Merrickville. When you come into the town, you'll bear right and cross the canal. Go two blocks south, and we're in the second block on your right, in the Larkspur Lane mini-mall. 17 minutes.
From Brockville: you'll be coming into town on the North Augusta Road, which turns into St Lawrence Street. Head north and slow down when you see Drummonds Gas on your right. We're diagonally across corner from it, at 230 St Lawrence, in the Larkspur Lane mini-mall. 30 minutes.
Parking is free everywhere in Merrickville. Don't park in the restricted areas, or you may get a ticket. You can park behind our mall, and come in the back door.

Wear your PFD!
Our boats are safe when used properly, but will tip if you're careless. We advise you not to go out in high wind, use your intuition and be cautious, and paddle with a buddy. We advise you not to rent our boats if you are not a competent swimmer.
Lock your cell phone and valuables in your car, and use a water-tight camera case. We do supply dry-bags on request. Bring your own PFD and/or paddle if you feel more comfortable with them. Bring sunscreen, a hat, water and snacks. Whatever you forget is sold in Merrickville.
Don't be afraid to cancel and reschedule if the weather is not suitable - we want happy outcomes, and cancellations are always part of this business.
